Being among the first contemporary jewellers in New Zealand, Kobi Bosshard's influence on many leading jewllery artists has been immeasurable.
Born in Uster, Switzerland in 1938, Bosshard is a third generation jeweller. He studied his apprentiship with Burch- Korrodi in Zurich from 1956 -1961. It was during the 1960’s that Bosshard emigrated to New Zealand forwarding his career as an artist. A pioneer of Jewellery making in New Zealand, Bosshard co-founded the Fluxus co-operative jewellery workshop and gallery in Dunedin.
His work is represented in museum and gallery collections throughout New Zealand. Although now officially retired form Jewellery-making, Bosshard continues to create in his Middlemarch workshop.
